JaneApp is a 3rd -party scheduling and payment software, but what makes it unique is is integrated with both Stripe and Square for payments and it securely stores client files which is why it is broadly used by health professionals in many clinics by Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, and more.
A credit card on file is in case charges need to be placed such as no shows or late cancellations. You will not be charged anything at the time of booking. After the session you can choose to use the card on file for payment or to use another form of payment.
If this is our first session together, Initial Assessment will be the session option to choose as it will go over a thorough interview and assessment in order to gain a good starting point, an understanding of what the possible issue is.
After having gone through the initial assessment, we would have already discussed your suggested treatment plan. The length of time per session depends on the number of issues needed to be worked within the session and/or the frequency you're able to come in.
After your first time booking you will receive a few emails soon after. The first email will be a welcome email and to create an account with Jane. With this account you will be able to reschedule or cancel any upcoming appointments and view past appointments.
The next email will be a booking confirmation email. In the very first booking confirmation email, it will provide a link to fill out a Health History Form. This form is to be filled out prior to the appointment date/time, it can be filled out right from your phone or on a computer. Leading up to your appointment, you will receive another email which is a COVID screen test, this too needs to be filled out prior to starting the appointment and an email will be sent 18 hours before each appointment.
For your first visit, please arrive 10-15 mins early to fill out other forms for the gym itself.
Click here for directions to RTC.
You have 24 hours of the appointment time to cancel or reschedule your appointment. After that, a 50% charge of the appointment cost will be charged for late cancellations or a @$25.00 charge for a late reschedule. All cancellations and reschedules after the 24 hour limit will need to be done through email and there are no guarantees your prospected date/time will be accepted.
No shows will be charged the full amount of the appointment cost + tax.
Packages are pre-purchased sessions at a discount, they are to be purchased in person at Renegade Training Company. Package options are as follows:
∙ 60 mins massage x5
∙ 60 mins massage x10
∙ 90 mins massage x5
∙ 90 mins massage x10
When you purchase a package, it automatically gets placed under your account. When you book online for your next appointment, Jane will automatically select the massage option you purchased the package for and you're able to select whether or not you would like to use that session under your package.
Yes, you are able to share package sessions only with immediate family. We are able to tie the accounts together so they will be able to book sessions themselves using the package purchased. As with any other appointment, you will not be able to book an appointment under your account and have someone else come in to use your package session. As the file under the appointment date/time will be under your name.
All packages expire 6 months from the purchase date. Exceptions will be made during the COVID lockdowns, they will be paused for the length of time of the lockdown and until we are able to open and accept appointments again.
Manual therapy is a physical treatment used by therapists to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability; it mostly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization and joint manipulation.
Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue work that is applied in a sporting context. It can consist of the same techniques as a typical therapeutic massage. The main focus of sports massage is to help the client achieve peak performance and remain injury-free as well as to support the healing of injuries. Though skin-to-skin contact is needed, sports massage can typically be done over and around clothing.
Fascia is the connective tissue system of the body that penetrates through and wraps around muscles, nerves, organs and just about everything else in your body. Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a pain-free manual stretch session to improve mobility of your nerves & flexibility of your muscles & fascia. Other methods focus on isolated muscle stretching (holding a stretch position for a set amount of time) which is often uncomfortable or even painful & results are only temporary.
RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is an evidence-based manual therapy technique that is a neurologically based, active, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous systems role in alleviating tension and restrictions within the body to quickly and effectively eliminate pain. The technique closely resembles Active Release Technique (ART) but the intent differs between the two.
In simplest words, Instrument Assisted Soft-tissue Mobilization is massage techniques with the use of specific tools. IASTM is performed with ergonomically designed instruments that detect and treat fascial restrictions, encourage rapid localization, and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis, chronic inflammation, or degeneration. As in any Manual therapy treatment, supplementation with exercises and additional modalities like joint mobilization designed to correct biomechanical deficiencies by addressing musculoskeletal strength and muscle imbalances throughout the entire kinetic chain should be used in conjunction with IASTM.
Examples of IASTM include: Graston Technique, RockTape RockBlades, and cupping.
In the initial assessment, you will need to fill out a client history form that you need to complete prior to the appointment day. This gives me some time to look it over and form an initial idea of what we could be dealing with and know what questions to ask in the interview. The form will be in the confirmation email of your first booking. If you’re unable to fill out the form prior to the appointment, you will have to fill it out prior to starting and could potentially eat away at your time. We will then talk about the issue and what is written in the form. To help rule out or confirm my suspicions, we'll do a postural and movement assessment based on what we've talked about.
At certain points during the session, there is potential for people to feel some discomfort and pain, this is a common sensation when releasing fascial and muscular restrictions and adhesions. Any pain and discomfort will have been discussed prior to starting each session, as well as right before the technique is used and deep diaphragmatic breathing instructions will help deal with the sensations as well as expedite the release of the adhesions and restrictions. Be rest assured that you have the last say in what we do in your session, so if it becomes too intense at the time, please let me know and we can dial it down or move on.
It is not uncommon to feel some stiffness or pain the next day after a session, the aches are similar to the muscle soreness you get after a workout, it should subside within the following day or so.
Everyone differs from each other and the amount of sessions will be discussed when going over your prescription plan at the end of your first session. The amount of sessions also depends on a few factors; How many issues we are dealing with and are they related to each other, the severity of the issues, how long you've been dealing with it, is your active daily life playing a factor in keeping you in your situation, and maybe most importantly, are you able to do the corrective exercises prescribed to you. I as a therapist and trainer am only able to open the door to healing, it is up to you to take the steps to walk through.
As I include some form of 1-on-1 training with my sessions, I mostly only provide treatment sessions these days. But I do still offer personal training, but only take in a few people at a time to free my time up for treatments. Please contact me if you are interested.
Most of my personal training clients are the general population who's main goal is to move and perform better during their activities. If you are looking for a specific type of trainer, don't hesitate to bring it up as there are various types of trainers over at Renegade Training Company with the expertise that you may be looking for that I could refer you to.
You won't be able to replace a training day with treatment. There will be days where you may want treatment instead of training, that is fine. But it can't be a reoccurrence and you won't be able to use a training session as a treatment session. Doing this too often takes away from the plan we created for training. (For example, if a client is coming in 3x/week to train, the training program is designed for 3x/week. If the client is constantly using one of those days for treatment, that's 1 day of training constantly being missed and not being made up.) It is possible to reschedule your training day to another day to make up for it, or what others have done is train and spend some extra time afterwards for treatment.
I accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and e-transfer. If you are planning to e-transfer, the transfer must be made before starting the appointment.
Yes I do. After each treatment session, you will be emailed a digital receipt in a .pdf format. This is what you would submit to your insurance.
No, at this time I do not offer direct billing. This is something I plan to offer sometime in 2021.
All treatment is covered under massage. Personal training typically is not unless you have some sort of health spending account provided by your employer.
No, we are not able to find that information. You will have to contact your insurance provider to find that information.
